With my new website just recently launched, I figured I should start blogging again since everyone is asking me to. There's lots to catch up on the blog front from the last 18 months and I plan to share them with you during my time off. So, I will start it off with highlights of my 2014 year.

2014 was a year of ups and downs..mainly ups. My year started off a bit rough with some health issues and I am so grateful for my family and close friends to help me get through it. It was not a good time. Among other things, I think the cure was a nice little get away to photograph Mimi and Johnny's wedding in the Caribbean -- on a Disney Cruise ! It truly was 'magical' hehe. A few months later, I broke my foot --- playing TAG with my son's kindergarten class. Yes, you heard it right. There is no heroic story to go with this freak accident.  Needless to say, my right foot is not the same, nor will it ever be. And the worse event of them all --- someone vandalized my beloved car. That hurt more than breaking my foot.

Other than that, I had a pretty spectacular year. Aside from my weddings, the highlight of my year was being commissioned to co-produce 3 editorial shoots in Italy for a luxury hotel chain. I spent 10 incredible days all over Italy photographing, eating food better than any Michelin starred restaurant I've been to, and sleeping in places I could never afford in my lifetime. Those images will be on my soon-to-be launched commercial site since editorial shoots do not belong in a wedding portfolio.

Enough talking. As some of my readers would know, I hand select my couples based on fit. This year, I had the honour to meet so many wonderful couples, but it came down to these 10 amazing couples that were the best fit for me.  Below are the highlights of my 2014 season:

I have a number of people who I need to thank for helping me get through this year, especially those who were there for me when I needed them most: Jeanette and my kids, my parents, my in-laws, my mentor (Eduardo), Kim, Ana, Pam, Roma, Seema, Sharon, Mike, Heidi and Jamieson.

Contributing to the awesomeness of my weddings are my amazing team: Jessica, Therese, Heidi, Francis, Kevin, Chris, James, Bojan and Andrew. Thanks for always having my back and always taking care of my couples and their guests.

Thank you to my former couples and their family and friends for being my evangelists and spreading kind words of their experiences. I am grateful.

Thank you to all my industry friends as well.  There is no I in team. You have all been so amazing to work with and I look forward to more fun times together.

Last, but certainly not least, my amazing couples. The most significant day of your lives at this point is your wedding. I am completely humbled and honoured to be selected amongst thousands of photographers in the world to document your nuptials. Thank you for placing so much trust in me.

Looking forward to share more with you soon!
